Good day all my friends 
It’s the start of another week full of promise. Mr Sun has finally poked out his little head and it promises to be a beautiful day but hot. Was hoping to keep the A/C off just a little longer. That’s electric bill is obscene lol.
The redo of the website is actually nearing completion! I’m so excited! Not gonna give an estimated time to go live though. I always think that jinxes things
The redecorate of the “real” HYH is speeding along way faster than I thought it would. This week is a “getting things done” week. Sewing to do, new summertime florals to arrange and, of course, tons of crocheting to do! I’m even doing a little organizing as I go along. It’s nice to have a change once in a while, since I’m housebound all but two or three days a month.
I have ideas for several new patterns as well. I’m hoping to get lots done on those, too. A couple of quick and easy type projects and two more quilts and an afghan. Fingers crossed they work out the way I’m visualizing

Good morning all my Happy House friends 
We’re still plugging right along on the site remodel. It’s gonna be great! Big Daddy is really putting his whole heart into it. I’m really quite touched that he would spend this kind of time on it. Does a gal’s heart good. Yes, it does.
Really the site won’t look a whole lot different that it does now. There will be some additions like a search feature, crochet tip of the day, some book reviews I want to do, hopefully more writing, the cutest new format for the Gallery and just all kinds of goodies! I’m really getting excited about it!
The redecorate of the “real” HYH is going along well. Of course, lack of funds always stands in the way doesn’t it lol? I’ll need to go scout the consignment and second hand furniture stores tomorrow during my day out. New furniture isn’t in my limited budget. Big Daddy would like to keep SOME money in the bank
Okay enough rambling for today. Gotta get to the hook! Have a very happy day, my friends!
Well, I tried to update the content on the home page for HYH but seems I’m still not familiar enough with the Dreamweaver software that Big Daddy says we must use now. I thought I had it down. Really I did. Guess I need another lesson this evening lol.
Remain patient and it’ll get updated this evening, I’m sure. The pattern for the Amish Panel lapghan and a new chart with revised colors for the Desert Star quilt complete with photo will be added.

I’ve been a naughty monkey not blogging the last few days. I’ve been working hard on the redecorating of the “real” Happy Yellow House. I love to decorate much to Big Daddy’s chagrin. Thank goodness this time he only has to pay for it not move things about. I have my wonderful nephew to help with the heavy lifting 
I did get some crocheting done though. I have finished a new lapghan quilt this week! Want a sneak peek? Okay, since you asked so very nicely. Here it is
It’s the first of what I’m considering for a series of single element “Amish Style” quilts that can be used as lapghans or wall hangings. What do we think of this idea? I love input!
Today I’m working on a red version of my Godess Afghan for me. Once in a while I like to make something that I actually keep lol

Good morning all! Big Daddy is still diligently working on the new site format for us. In fact, he was up until 5 a.m. this morning working on it.
In the meanwhile though I’ve been very bad. I have hardly crocheted at all for two days. I think I have a bad case of Spring Fever lol. I’ve been cleaning and rearranging and plotting a redecorating plan for the real Happy Yellow House.
But today I am going to be very good. I’m going to spend the day, the whole day with my hook! I’m very near completion on a new lapghan design. Hopefully, it’ll be done today.
Hooray! The Happy Yellow House site is back up!
It’s basically the same site as before with a lot of cleaning up done. Pages load super fast now and everything’s a lot cleaner.
Big Daddy is still working on the new site layout but he can do that at his leisure. He tells me it won’t be too too long. The new site will have lots of new features including reinstitution of the newletter! I’ve really missed sending those out.

That’s right we’re getting very close to getting HYH back live! You really won’t notice any changes to be honest. It looks pretty much the same as it did. Things are just cleaner now.
Big Daddy will still be working on the new design for the site. He’s just putting a version of the old site up so we can play )
But to go back live I have a few tasks I’ve been assigned so I’d better get busy!

Well now let’s at least keep up with what’s going on at the Happy Yellow House. I’ve been working on an Amish style lapghan. I am seriously not liking the colors. But my friend, Krochet Krystal, loves the colors so I’m gonna finish it up and send it to her.
I also have completed a clutch handbag that will have the pattern listed once we’re live again. And another crochet quilt called “Ribbons & Bows”. It’s a spinning spool pattern but I thought they looked like bows, hence the name.
I have also completed a model of the Desert Star quilt in a different color way than the original pattern. Come to find out, they don’t make the colors I used in the design. I really need to make myself a swatch board.
I am also working on another handbag. I am obsessed with handbags. Any type of container really. It’s a sickness, I know. But the new handbag is fighting me a bit so I’ve put it aside for now to concentrate on the Amish lapghan.
That’s pretty much it in a nutshell. As you can tell I’ve been keeping busy!

I’m sad to report that the HappyYellowHouse.com site is still down. 
I made a total mess of it and for that, I apologize. Seems I knew just enough to be dangerous lol.
Big Daddy has been working day and night to fix it so the original site can go back up. He was up til 3 a.m. this morning until I finally told him to go to bed.
Good news is that he has the layout fixed now. He’s just at the point of reuploading all those files. I think he thinks I might be a bit too prolific.
So this will be the new Happy Yellow House blog where I put things of a more personal nature than the content on HappyYellowHouse.com. So pull up a seat and sit a spell. You might find something interesting along the way
